HE WINTER BAND is a family band consisting of cousins & friends who have been playing together for years. The Winter Band consists of Chris Svehaug (accordion), Ruthi Sundnes Winter (violin), Mike Winter (string bass), Mike Thurlow (guitar), Chuck Sanders (guitar and bass) and Dusty Tea (bass, mandolin & accordion). We play mostly “Gammel Norsk” (old Norwegian) songs, dance tunes, and old polka accordion favorites. . We enjoy playing these romantic, sentimental songs and hope we can spread the joy of Scandinavian music."
